TikTok is mostly light-hearted fun: endless memes, dance routines and food hacks. But if someone is making you uncomfortable — whether through comments, messages or simply being a nuisance — you don’t have to put up with it. Blocking is quick, discreet and effective.
How to Block a User
Blocking someone takes only a few taps:
- Open TikTok and go to the person’s profile.
- Tap the three dots (⋮) or the share arrow in the top-right corner.
- Select Block from the menu.
- Confirm when asked.
From that moment, they’ll no longer be able to follow you, message you, or see your content. TikTok doesn’t tell them you’ve blocked them, so it happens quietly in the background.
If You Change Your Mind
Blocking isn’t final. To reverse it:
- Visit their profile again.
- Tap the same menu.
- Choose Unblock.
They’ll immediately be able to view your videos and interact with you again.
Dealing With More Than One Account
Sometimes it isn’t just one person but several. TikTok has a bulk-block option:
- Go to your inbox or comments.
- Press and hold on one account.
- Select multiple profiles if necessary.
- Tap Block accounts.
This clears away spam or harassment much faster than doing it one by one.
Take Control of Your Feed
The beauty of TikTok is discovering content you enjoy, not putting up with people who ruin the experience. Blocking is a small but powerful way to curate your space so it stays fun, safe and yours.
